La Stacia Neat

La Stacia Neat is the Director of Corporate Partnerships for the California State Guard Foundation.  

La Stacia has had a lifelong calling to serve, specifically through military service.  After high school she joined the US Naval Reserve, and subsequently, the California National Guard as a Military Police Officer.  

After military service, La Stacia moved to Chicago where she attended DePaul University and earned her Bachelor of Arts, focusing on International Business, as well as her Master’s degree in Secondary Education.  While at DePaul, La Stacia began working at Rich South High School, where she served as the Special Event Coordinator for the music program and band.  During this time, she planned and coordinated trips for the band to perform at the Olympic Games Torch Lighting Ceremony in London, the Chick-fil-A Bowl, President Obama’s Inauguration, and for numerous foreign dignitaries and other high profile politicians.  

After graduating from DePaul, La Stacia was appointed to a seat on the Board of Education for Elementary School District 159 in Matteson, Illinois.  During this time she started the General Colin Powell Sea Cadet (Junior Naval ROTC) program at General Colin Powell Middle School which remains active today. 

Upon returning to California in 2014, La Stacia joined California State Guard where she continues to train and serve her fellow citizens of California. Currently, she is a Platoon Leader for the newly formed Emergency Response Command.

Outside of the military, La Stacia  is a member of The 100 Black Women, Inc., Orange County Chapter. She currently lives in Murrieta with her youngest of four children.  In her spare time, La Stacia enjoys watching the Los Angeles Lakers, Dodgers, New Orleans Saints, and spending time with and speaking to low income/at risk, minority youth groups.
